 Harrison Mac Baird
  :: Born 9/2/15 :: 8lbs 5oz :: 20 inches

Welcome to the world Harrison Mac Baird!!!! We are SO excited your here!! And before I get all gushy mom I have to say that this kid is already a month old! That first month just flew by and its been so fun getting to know this kid. We've spent the last month just cuddling on the couch, watching tv and talking to each other. I couldn't love anything more and I was worried that mom instinct wouldn't kick in, but thankfully it did. It's been quite the adventure being a new mom but I just sort of go with the flow... I've only had few big messy cries where I freak out and think I have no idea what I'm doing! BUT then I feel better and remind myself that I'm doing it... I'm being a mom. Here are some pictures of our first month together.

^^ that was him at the hospital... I actually never got any pics of us... just him. I planned to take so many pictures but then I just ended up cuddling this bean all the time. Looking back I wish I would have taken more of him at the hospital. He was so cute and SO big! Everyone said "that's a big boy" and looking at all the other babies at the nursery... uhhh yeah he was big.

^^^ Look at those tiny fingers! I've got to get some of these pictures printed and framed...gosh I just love them so much. That's us trying to hold hands while Harrison is eating.

I have handful of other pictures on my iphone and in my email from other peoples' iphones and gosh I just need to collect them all and put them up here...

more to come, but for now enjoy.

Heber Date // 25 Week Bump

5.21.2015

Last weekend we attended a wedding reception of some family friends and right when we were leaving our friends took this photo of us. It's kind of hard to see but I am holding that little bump. I haven't been too good about taking bump pictures (and my next post will definitely have more) but I really love this picture. Hunter looks great. I think when I look back on our pre-baby life this is how I want to remember it. Happy to be there, but also excited for what's to come. Capturing moments like this are pretty priceless. Hope your weekend is filled with good moments.

Graduation!

5.08.2015

After two long years of papers and homework and case studies, I've finally graduated with my masters in social work. It feels so good. Graduation was long but worth it and bonus my parents made it out. It was fun spending the weekend with them and then I loved it so much I decided that I'd  catch a ride back to cali with them. And I spend the last week there (so much fun!) I love seeing my family and friends...life just seems to be moving too fast for everyone.

Also it was the first time they saw me pregnant! So of course they kept taking picture of me. All in all it was very special. Below is me at 22 weeks! How is that bump already so big and I'm only half way?

Lastly I'm pretty exciting about mothers day this year... even though I'm technically not a mom yet...still it feels pretty special. I catch myself looking at the moms around me more and admiring their ability to be so patient with their children and so gracious about receiving help from others. I hope I can remember to be a mom like that.

baby outtakes

A few months ago our good friends Justin and Melissa asked if they could do a little photo shoot and I jumped at the chance. We only took a couple with the balloons and this was my favorite out take photo so far. I really wasn't jumping as high as you might think, its one of those optical allusion photo tricks. We had so much fun hanging out with these guys and they've become such good friends these past couple of years. Below are some more photos from our little shoot. We took most of these in Huber Grove, a little apple orchard in Midway, UT.

^^ you can def see my prego bump in this one..or maybe I just have really bad posture : /

There were so many good ones, but those were just a few of my favorites. Thanks Justin and Melissa for having us.

Bring in the New Year

1.19.2015

Goodbye Christmas, Hello New Year. We started off our new year with skiing! I love skiing. The air is so fresh and so clean... it really makes me feel alive.

I've already been a month into my last semester of graduate school and its proving to be a challenge... maybe because its my last semester and i just want to be done (you know the feeling?) I've spent the past month dragging myself back into the homework and boy its hard... i distract myself through downton abbey and hanging out with the hubs. Its not very healthy but yet I feel good about it.

2014 was a really good year, but 2015 is going to be the best year yet... i just know it. Happy Happy New Year!
